Here’s just a quick look at some of what I’ve been reading over the last couple days…
- DCist: Cheh Wants D.C. to be Ready for the Wonderful Era of the Self-Driving Car – I’m glad that someone is championing this in DC! I think the self-driving car is such an exciting technical revolution. I hate driving and can’t wait till I can just get in a car and have it do it all for me. 🙂
- Alex Hillman: 5 Reasons Your Community Isn’t Growing – My buddy Alex is a master community builder and has been doing incredible work in Philly with their tech community and the Indy Hall. In this post, he provides some sage advice about why communities aren’t growing.
- Nick O’Neill: How A Perfectionist Instinct Can Kill A Startup – One of my pet peeves is letting perfection become enemy of the good and not getting anything done in the process. In this post, my buddy Nick talks about the importance of getting your product out there quickly and getting people to pay for it. Don’t let your product sit forever in beta. Perfect your product on your customers’ dime.
- GigaOm: Instagram co-founder: Pick what your app does well, and ignore the rest — for now – Instagram co-founder talks about the importance of figuring out what you want to be and really focusing on making that experience magical. Focus. Focus. Focus.
