Tonight, I went to the Washington DC Web Standards Meetup and really had a great time. It was held at Murky Coffee, which you all know is one of my favorite hang out spots. We had some great discussion about Tech in DC and the current state of Web standards and accessibility.
As a resource for the attendees, here is a list of all of the links that we talked about:
- BarCamp DC
- DC Tech Events
- Just Ask: Integrating Accessibility Throughout Design by Shawn Lawton Henry
- W3C/WAI – Intro to Web Accessibility
- W3C/WAI – Intro to WCAG
- Fangs – The Screenreader Emulator
- YUI – Victor Tsaran: “An Introduction to Screen Readers”
- Digital Web Magazine – HTML5, XHTML2, and the Future of the Web
- evolt.org – Browser Archive
- Refresh DC
I always wanted to join this meetup. I either didn’t have time to show up, or the couple of times I was there I couldn’t find anybody. Is this group still running?
