@Jared, we should definitely run together sometime. I'd love to get folks together in DC and go running on a regular basis.

@Brett, thanks for stopping by. Yeah I can definitely see running getting addictive. Yep, I do run with the iPhone. It's not too bad. I need to get one of those arm strap things.

Justin, this is awesome! So glad to hear you're enjoying running! But watch out -- it can get addictive! :) (See Kat for exhibit A...lol)

Does that RunKeeper thing mean you have to run with your iPhone? Isn't that annoying?

I re-discovered running a couple years ago. (But because of injuries, I didn't run my first race until this year). I love sharing the struggle with others who understand. When I'm having a hard time completing a run, other runners will wave, smile or even yell out words of encouragement.

I also like to use MapMyRun.com. I can map trail a head of time and know for sure whether I'm getting in enough miles. I have also learned that video blogging helps. When talked about trouble with my foot falling asleep, people gave me great advice.

I can't wait to run my first marathon this December. I'm sure you'll be hooked too once you run your first 5k. You should try for the Cherry Blossom 10-miler in the Spring-- it's a beautiful race. Good luck! (And don't forget to post pictures!)
